The papers are still having a field day over what happens next in the England captaincy scandal after Fabio Capello said at the weekend he completely disagreed with the decision to strip John Terry of the role. There are a few different sub-plots running through the papers with the Mirror's take being the most dramatic as their back page screams: "Capello's ready to quit" with the rather cheeky addition of "(well, no one's going to stop you, Fabio)." In an exclusive written by John Cross, the paper claims: "Capello is so frustrated with the Football Association over the John Terry fiasco that he could go even before the European Championship Finals. "And Capello is also facing a dressing room backlash as his unerring support for Terry as captain has upset some players and is in danger of causing a serious rift." The Daily Express leads their sports coverage with the latter of those two points as they claim that "Fabio's Facing Revolt" in their backpage exclusive credited to Matt Law and Paul Joyce. An unnamed 'source close to the England dressing room' told them: "Fabio Capello has demonstrated he has no empathy with his players.
